Garston Under the Bridge

Area Committee Meeting 8 Dec 05: It was announced at this meeting that the shops facing St Michaels Church would hopefully start to be demolished in January 06 this coincides with the start of ground preparation for the building of new houses in the under the bridge area.

Garston Under The Bridge: Blake court has finally been knocked down yet the shops facing St Michaels Church are still standing. At a meeting in September in the Village Hall it was said by the neighbourhood committee that these shops would be demolished very very soon as they were structurally unsafe. The last building owner had come to an agreement with the council before this meeting. Is it that nothing is planned for this row of shops just yet so they are left standing yet the area around Blake Court is needed much sooner ?
